At the beginning of this month it was time again for the Kitejamboree here in Egypt/El Gouna!
Riders from all over Europe and Egypt came to participate at this competition. We were really lucky with the wind since before that we did not have any wind in El Gouna for about a month..it seemed like the wind came just back to let us do the comp ![]()
The comp started off with Freestyle. I missed half of my heat in the singles by a missunderstanding :/. But I had another chance in the doubles... and I became third in the womens pro!
Althought it was a really close heat for the second place...I had a really good heat, perfectly powered on my 7m and landed everytthing except for my last trick!
Next up was Race. I never tried Race before but I wanted to give it a try and see there I became third as well! But I have to say it was quiet excausting to go for 3 races in a role...
At the end of the comp we had to finish with of course...a big party! And me behind the DJ pult ![]()

Today was no wind so we desided to hit the Liquid Park in El Gouna, which just opened 2 weeks ago!
It was superfun! At first we were thinking this is going to be easy, but not its pretty slippery and excausting.
At the end we did a little competition between me and my friends. I had so much fun. If you ever come to El Gouna you defenitly should pass by on a no wind day!!
Here you can check out a short video which I took with my camera: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2eARRlOLew

As well I am Djane now here in El Gouna! I started off with doing every thurday the event Kitefever. Since that I just improving my skills and I get more and more gigs here in town. It is so much fun making the people dance all night to the music I play for them ![]()
In one and a half months my next competition is on called Kitejamboree. I am really looking forward to this event!

Last week I had a photoshoot with adidas for the summer-campain 2012.
The shooting was close to Munich/Germany on a little lake. It was my first shooting like this and it was lots of fun, the crew was very nice and the make- up artist made sure that my hair was always at the right place ![]()
We had a lot of fun and were really lucky that we didn't get any rain, since it's not the best weather in Austria and Germany. It was raining constantly before and after.
Unfortunitly I can't post a lot of pics since the collection won't be released until january 2012. But I can tell you that they collection gonna be sweet... Bikinis, Boardshorts, dresses.
After the shooting I went to meet my friend Melanie. It was so nice to see her again and to exchange all kiting memories....
Happily now I am back to sunny Egypt, enjoying sweet life, wind and my friends!

Last week the Kiteboarding.eu Freestyle Classics were held in Podersdorf/ Austria.
This event was totally different from all the events I have seen before. First of all you needed an invitation to participate.
Also the competition was not one on one, instead you were competing in teams of 3 with 6 people in the heat.
The team was made of : 1 Oldschool Men, 1 Newschool Men and 1 Oldschool girl
Check out the link: http://kiteboarding.eu/news/607
The forcast for the 5 days did not look too good so they decided to do the whole competition in one day( which was thursday) with very gusty and super light wind. It was difficult for all the riders and not very spectacular since no one could do very high tricks. As well I have to add that my lines are always magicaly twisted. ![]()
Friday the wind did not show up at all so we had plenty of time to do all the adventures which the surfworldcup offered. Starting with Bagjump, Segway, Slackline,.......
For saturday windguru was saying that it won't be windy so on friday all the riders decided to make party. But suddenly unexpected wind showed up and we could held the doubles in very good conditions and my team with Paulino and Peter, won the first heat!!
Thanks to Royal Kiteboarding Team for the invitation and the support!! I had an awesome 5 days ![]()
Aloha
